Create your own aromatherapy room spray, perfect for use in your own home or as a gift.
One of our favourite parts of the Aromatherapy course is the joy of being able to blend your own lotions and potions! Whether it's prescriptive blends for clients or gifts for loved ones you will learn the safe and effective use of essential oils.
To create your own room fragrance spray there are a few very simple steps.
You will need:
120ml Aluminium cosmetic spray bottle with atomiser and cap
Distilled water
Essential oils for your blend
Rubbing alcohol (optional) - alcohol acts as a preservative, aids the blending of essential oils with water and helps the spray disperse in the air.
Step by step guide:
- Make up either 100ml distilled water or blend 75ml distilled water with 25ml rubbing alcohol in your spray bottle.
- Add up to 30 drops of the essential oils of your choice.
- Secure the lid, shake and enjoy your room fragrance spray!
Example blend:
Annette our very lovely Aromatherapy tutor here at the Academy blended up this absolutely gorgeous room fragrance as a great example.
10 drops of Geranium
10 drops of Rosewood
10 drops of Lavender
100ml of cooled boiled water
Always check safety data and ensure the blends are safe for use for each person. For more blends or further information you can refer to the complete illustrated guide to Aromatherapy.
