Sports Massage Courses – Train From Complete Beginner to Level 5

Our sports massage courses are designed to take you from Level 3 to Level 5 in structured stages, allowing you to build your skills at your own pace and stop at any level that suits you. Starting with Level 3, you’ll gain the essential knowledge and hands-on experience needed to begin working as a qualified sports massage therapist. One of the key benefits of our program is that you can start earning as soon as you complete Level 3, giving you the opportunity to gain real-world experience while you continue learning.

If you're hungry for more, you can progress to Level 4 and Level 5, where you’ll develop advanced techniques and a deeper understanding of injury management, rehabilitation, and performance enhancement. These higher levels equip you with the expertise to work with a wider range of clients, including athletes and professionals. Whether you’re looking to start a new career or expand your existing skills, our flexible, step-by-step approach makes achieving your goals more accessible than ever.

The ITEC Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage is designed for beginners aiming to become certified sports massage therapists. The course combines interactive online home study with in-person practical sessions, covering comprehensive modules on anatomy and physiology. Students will learn hands-on techniques such as postural assessment, range of movement tests, sports massage, myofascial release and deep friction. Upon successful completion, graduates can establish their own practice or work in settings like salons, clinics, health clubs, spas, or hotels. This qualification also provides a pathway to advanced certifications, such as the ITEC Level 4 and Level 5 Certificates in Sports Massage.

The ITEC Level 4 Certificate in Sports Massage is designed for practitioners who have completed the Level 3 Diploma in Sports Massage and wish to enhance their skills in addressing fascial imbalances. This course combines interactive online home study with six days of in-person classroom training, focusing on advanced techniques such as Muscle Energy Techniques (MET), Soft Tissue Release (STR), and orthopedic special tests to identify joint and fascial issues. Students will deepen their understanding of postural assessment, learning to identify and correct imbalances effectively.

The ITEC Level 5 Certificate in Sports Massage is designed for practitioners aiming to advance their expertise in sports massage therapy. The course is structured into four modular components, each focusing on a specific area of advanced practice: Injury Management and Rehabilitation – Upper Body, Injury Management and Rehabilitation – Lower Body, Understanding and Utilising Gait Analysis, Neurological Testing & Evidence-Based Practice.

Each module can be taken independently, offering flexibility to tailor the learning experience to individual interests. However, completion of all four modules, along with successful passing of final exams and assignments, is required to achieve the full ITEC Level 5 qualification. This certification signifies a high level of proficiency in advanced sports massage techniques, injury management, and rehabilitation, enhancing career opportunities in various professional settings.
